About The Course: DraftCraft International hosts its popular 'Films and Freedom' course in Goa. The course will apprise the participants on how films go beyond being just a product of creativity when they are released for public viewing. The law of the land comes into play when one's freedom of speech and expression violates any other's fundamental right under the Indian Constitution. The course will throw light on Films, Censorship, Freedom of Speech, Legal Implications, Copyright and more with a comparative discourse on films and freedom in India and across the world. Certificate Course: Censorship
The course examines the definition of Censorship, its relevance and prevalence in India and around the world. Censorship is the act of altering and/or banning content that is objectionable, harmful, immoral, illegal, sensitive and illicit as per the law and common perception. The course explains censorship laws and guidelines and applicability to films and documentaries as a visual medium of communication and broadcasting media such as public screenings, television and the internet. The course also examines constitutional rights of freedom of speech and expression. Each module is complete with the latest in Case Studies, Precedents and Legal Insight from India and around the world.
